There are 3 flavours in the KidsCare Rice Wheels and they all vary slightly.
BBQ flavour contains no: Artificial flavours or colours, dairy products, soy, added MSG, meat, animal products, nuts, egg or fish.
Roast Chicken flavour contains no: Artificial flavours or colours, wheat, gluten, soy, added MSG or nuts.
Cheese contains no: artificial flavours, colours, wheat, gluten, soy, yeast, added MSG, nuts or sesame seeds. -
Kidscare Ricewheels, Rice Rounds and Potato Stix contain no added MSG or other artificial flavours and colours, animal, soy, meat, or nut products, with slight variants between the 3 flavour options: BBQ, Cheese, and Roast Chicken.
MSG or mono-sodium glutamate is a flavour enhancer that is added to food, not to preserve ingredient integrity, but as a means of enhancing the taste. Often this is done to mask disagreeable flavours or magnify a desired taste (for example chicken flavouring).
MSG is termed an excitotoxin, which clinicians and scientists are convinced play a critical 2role in the development of several neurological disorders, the least severe of which is migraine. Unfortunately, MSG is becoming harder to avoid. The amount of MSG which is added to processed foods has reportedly doubled every decade since 1984. -
KidsCare® products do not use Soy (Palm) oil that is sourced from natural rainforests in any of the Healtheries® products which include KidsCare® Rice Wheels, Rice Rounds and Potato Stix. To ensure that this is the case, we require our manufacturers to confirm in writing to us that “the palm oil that they use in our products is obtained through a sustainable source, through plantation to production”.
